The Choice is Easy

It's either seeing the sameness in each other, or magnifying the differences.

See the sameness and you tune into the One Self. Know everyone as they really are, and you know your Self.

It's either spirit or ego, there is never any other choice. Unified perception or fragmented. The end of suffering lies in the former.

Ego always comes from lack. "What can I get from you?" it asks, and even when it drinks the world dry, it will still be unsatisfied.

Spirit knows no lack at all, "You're beautiful as you are" it sings quietly to everyone it sees. And from this standpoint does it want to give, not take.

Choose spirit and you will have answered your own cry for love. See another through the eyes of spirit, and you will have answered theirs.

I want you to know that howsoever you are right now in your life, you’re perfect. Whatever past you had (and no one had an easy one), whatever present you’re dealing with - you’re totally loved, as you are. You don’t need to do anything to deserve it. Love doesn’t ask you to change. It just loves. What it sees in you is your changeless inestimable value. You. It isn’t fooled by worldly stories. Whatever was, whatever is - YOU are loved. You deserve everything. You are God’s treasure. There are no conditions for how you need to be. You simply deserve love, because you are. The past is gone now, and the safety of total love is here. You have not been forsaken. The light of love is upon you now. You are completely accepted. There is no judgment upon you. This is what is real. And as you allow yourself to know this perfect love of God, you begin to share it with others. It doesn’t matter what anyone did or what was done to them, they cannot but be worthy of this perfect love. Love loves because it’s all it knows to do. It doesn’t need a reason. It doesn’t look into time and judge whether your accomplishments in time make you worthy of it. It is like the sun, it shines because that is its nature. Its evaluation of you is beyond what happens in this world. It shines away the past and thus releases the future, reaching right into the center of you, now, eternity - the you that was never born and cannot die; cannot be unworthy or unlovable; and is forever true. This is the truth of all that lives, and forgiveness reveals it.

A Poem for Quarantine Times

THE WORLD IS CANCELLED

Until further notice.

And the Self doesn’t care.

Life can’t be cancelled. Life is appearing as whatever is happening.

It is never less life or more life.

It is never imperfect life.

Life can never be interrupted. Only your ideas about life can.

How it should be, how it shouldn’t...

Life doesn’t care. Peace doesn’t care. No one can cancel the Self.

It is perfectly happy, no matter what happens.

The happiness of the Self is uninterrupted.
In its Carelessness lies a Freedom that is beyond what happens and doesn’t happen.
