Consider that the words “so what” may work better for some, while for others different words may prove better, such as “who cares” or “it’s good”.
I will explain:
1) “who cares” guides us to really look for the one who cares. Who is that?? Isn’t it just a thought? Maybe just a sensation? But we cannot find an actual ‘carer’! Not being able to find the ‘carer’ time after time after time, we dissolve into carelessness. Lightness of Being. We become the living “so what?” “So what if this happened, so what if that happened.”
2) “it’s good” needs to be said about absolutely everything that happens or doesn’t happen. This undoes the judgmental part of the mind, that part that says what’s happening shouldn’t be happening and what isn’t happening should be happening. Whatever is happening is good; whatever is not happening it’s good it is not happening.
After a while of such practice, the judgment (should / shouldn’t) begins to dissolve and everything is good. ‘Bad’ is not believed in. Even the ‘bad’ is good.
Thus we dissolve into absolute carelessness, once again, becoming the living “so what?” that knows nothing really matters.
As for the “I exist” part, you can substitute this with “I STILL exist”, if you find it more helpful. What this does is stresses that no matter what is happening (or not happening), your existence remains unchanged, untouched, unthreatened — it is STILL the same, just existing.

Consider the sentence: “By anything that happens, nothing happens.”
This is the reason for The Absolute’s “So What?”
Everything that happens is already too late! Anything that happens in time can’t change the timeless. Anything that happens in presence can’t change the absence.
”By all changes nothing changes”.
Contemplate this as you practice “So What, I Am” throughout the day.
(The Infinity Meditation can be helpful in further understanding this).
Free Will?
What if everything can only happen the way it happens?
What if the present has to be the way it is for the future to be the way it already is?
What if there is no ‘chooser’?
What if everything that comes and goes has to come and has to go?
If things happen the only way they can, and nothing can be changed, nothing can be different — then you can relax, no?
A car cut in front of you in a very rude and dangerous manner, will you blame the driver, honk at them, get into a fight when you know it couldn’t have happened differently?
Regardless of what you will do in the outer, inwardly you are unlikely to hold grudge and blame because you understand the dream proceeds as it must.
That is the mantra: “THE DREAM PROCEEDS AS IT MUST”.
Remember this throughout the day.
Freedom is in having no choice, no other way for This to be. It plays out the way it must. It can only be the way it is.
